What are the possability for the pregnacy test to be wrong i

I have a friend that had intercourse with her boyfriend on the last day of her period which was on november 18 she took a pregnacy test on december 12 it came out negative but is it possible for the test to be wrong since her period is not due until december 18 how high are the possabity for the test to be wrong?

Most over-the-counter pregnancy tests don't live up to their claims of being 99 percent accurate within the first day of a woman missing her period more so as your friend hasn't missed her period yet. So the early you do thee test the more likely it is to be inaccurate.
