What are the side effects of beta-blockers?

My grandfather had a higher blood pressure for a long time. Last time he went to a doctor he was also diagnosed with angina pectoris. He was said to take beta blockers, in order to decrease the blood pressure and deal with angina pectoris. What are the side effects of beta blockers?

Common and expected side effects are bradicardia, weakness, cold extremities, breathing problems, increased lipoproteins in the blood. As for the side effets, we should probably mention asthma, A-V block, and mild form of diabetes that also has t be treated with insulin. If his condition does not change, perhaps a change of therapy might do him good.
