What cancers can progress into pituitary tumor?

Hello, I would like to ask something about my pituitary gland tumor. I have it for two years now. I have been taking some meds all that time, but the doctor says that its effectiveness is decreased now. He recommended me3 to go for a laser surgery, to completely remove the tumor. After that the therapy would be continued with. All I need to know is what pituitary tumor can progress into cancer?

There are several different tumors of pituitary gland. They all have hormonal nature. Pituitary gland is located in sella turcica and depending on the development and growth of the tumor, it might turn into cancer. This means that all pituitary gland tumors are benign, but they might get big enough to start pressurizing the surrounding brain tissue.
