Hello, I am 45 years old and I have just been diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia. I have to admit that I was surprised, because I never had any problems with health so far. So, doctors told me they will not do anything for now, until some symptoms are shown. What causes this chronic myeloid leukemia?

Well, they say that it is genetic in its nature, but the good thing is that we are talking about chronic myeloid leukemia. That means that you should be able to lead a normal life for a long time. Actually, until some symptoms occur, doctors avoid prescribing any treatment, because there is a risk of activating those symptoms.
