Hello! My brother got married few moths ago. His wife was really nice and friendly person and I was shocked when he called me yesterday and said his life was like in hell since his wife suffers from delusional jelaousy. He was really desperate since she didn’t want to go to the therapy and he really didn’t know what to do. I don’t understand how is possible for a kind person like her to transform into a witch in such a short period of time. What causes delusional jelaousy?

Hello! Delusional jealousy is unjustified and irrational belief that an individual's spouse or lover has been unfaithful. Some studies have indicated that delusions may be generated by neurological abnormalities especially the inner edge of the cerebral cortex that regulates emotions. The exact source of delusions has not been found, but besides neurological abnormalities potential causes include genetics and changes in brain chemistry. Delusions are also possible as a side effect of drug and alcohol abuse
