Hello! My sister’s son has started to school this September. His first day of school was a great excitement for the whole family. But, he was soon diagnosed dyslexia. He had problems to recognize letters and words. He reverses letters b and d and sometimes reverses the whole word. What causes dyslexia?

The condition frequently runs in families so, try to find out if there is someone in your family who had similar problems. Also, you have to know that reversals are common in six years old children, but with dyslexia the reversals persist. Many people with dyslexia are above-average intelligence, so don’t worry too much.
