What causes enlarged circumvallate papillae and how do I get rid of it?

Hi. I have been ill with a bad cold and chest infection for a few weeks, also I had thrush in my mouth, tho this has now cleared up i notice that i have large bumps on the back of my tongue, after searching the internet I think its enlarged circumvallate papillae. What causes this as its most annoying and I would like to get rid of it.

Who knows...I just got over bad sinus headaches...and a little drainage. Mine have also gotten enlarged...Yes very annoying. Someone help get rid of my bumps..

Usually gargling warm salt water helps.

is having circumvallate pallillae contagious? is it bad to have also? because i dont know these things and the internet is really not helping me with this answer
