Hi. I can`t stand the heat that I am feeling every single day. It circles in my body, in my chest, back, neck and head. Sometimes a cold shower is helpful, but I would like to hear more about hot flashes. What causes them?

Hi. The most common causes of hot flashes are menopause, and early menopause. In the first phase of premature menopause your hormones are erratic, causing you to get hot flashes. If you have had your ovaries surgically removed, you will probably experience hot flashes. About 75 – 85% of women will get hot flashes in menopause. I am in my menopause and I feel the same. My face turn deep red and first I sweat, then I feel the chills. I can`t sleep very well.
