What does an external hemroid look like

Can anyone explain what do external hemroids look like. IT is true that I have suffered from constipation before but I have never had bigger problems. Last night I felt a hard bump around my anus. The area around appeared to be a bit swollen. I got really scared. I haven’t experienced any discomfort and I heard that hemorrhoid are usually painful. Could this be a hemorrhoid?

I think you have developed a thrombosed hemorrhoid. It is a hemorrhoid that had developed a clot on the inside. They form under the skin and these hemorrhoids can be seen and felt. They may be purple or red. I would advise you saw a GP, who can diagnose it and help you find a proper treatment.
