What happends when autism isn't treated?

Hello! There is a family in my street with an autistic child. The boy is often in the garden and I have noticed that he isn’t going anywhere. It seems they are not interested in his treatment. I think he needs some kind of therapy and socialization. What happends when autism isn't treated?

Hello! Treatment always depends on the condition of the autistic child and severity of the symptoms. Drugs can be also used in the therapy and you can’t tell if that child uses drugs since you just see him in the garden. Autism can’t be cured but well guided treatment can improve social skills, communication and behavior. If autism isn’t treated regression in all segments of skills will occur.
