Hello, I would like some help here. I have been having stomach issues for a week now. Actually, I vomited three times in that period and not defecated once. A friend told me that it might be some duodenal obstruction and that I would have to go the doctor immediately. Should I do that and what is that duodenal obstruction anyway?

Not an easy thing, that’s for sure. Vomiting and lack of defecation is strongly pointing to the fact there is some obstruction in your gastrointestinal system that is preventing the food from passing through. And it is most likely on the stomach level, because there is vomiting involved. So, it might just as easily be duodenal obstruction but you will not know that for sure until you go for the medical examination. And do that as soon as you can.
