Hi. I’ve been having pelvic pain recently. It goes from my lower pelvic area down to my legs… Therefore, my doctor has ordered a pelvic sonogram and I don’t have a clue what that is. Can anyone here tell me what pelvic sonogram is, how safe it is and how long it takes. Thanks
Hi! I had a pelvic sonogram myself not so long ago. Pelvic sonogram is just the simple ultrasound examination and it is no different from the one that they do to pregnant women. It is only ment for pelvic. They will put some cold jelly and then roll around that area with the thing that in a way looks like a computermouse. It is very safe and if will not last to long – preparations for the examination sometimes can last longer than the examination itself. I hope this answer helps.
