Hello. I'm 45 years old female.
My daughter was very problematic in a past few months because she started to hang on with some new crowd and I believe they made her to do things that she did I don’t have any health problems.
I am desperate for information of any kind about this issue.
She started to use ecstasy pills about a month ago and couple on nights ago she took two of them and she fell into some kind of shock called Seratonin syndrome.
I took her to doctor immediately and he gave her an infusion and he recovered from it.
I was wondering what kind of shock was it and could she get some kind of consequences from it.
Please provide me any extra informations and I would be very grateful!

I'm a medical student and I know a bit about your daughter’s problems.
The Seratonin syndrome is a hypersotonergic state which is a very dangerous and a potentially fatal side effect of serotonergic enhancing drugs which can have multiple psychiatric and non-psychiatric symptoms.
This is a toxic condition which requires clinical treatment promptly.
The Seratoninergic system is known to modulate mood, emotion, sleep and appetite and thus is implicated in the control of numerous behavioural and physiological functions.
Your daughter take too much Seratonin in one time and she fell to this kind of shock,
The symptoms of the Seratonin syndrome are: euphoria, drowsiness, sustained rapid eye movement, overreaction of the reflexes and rapid muscle contraction.
Now, when she recovered you should keep an eye on her so she wont do something like that any more.
