I have been in hospital to visit a colleague of mine from work. When I saw him I knew that it is something serious. He has lost a lot of weight and his hair looks thinner. Also he is like yellow or something. Anyway, he doesn't want to say what is with him. I have seen his medicine list he is taking something called antinomycin. What is that?

I am sorry to tell you that your friend probably has some kind of a cancer. Antinomycin is a chemotherapy drug used in some types of cancer including gestational trophoblastic neoplasia, Wilms tumor and rhabdomyosarcoma. This drug is highly toxic and can cause the damage genetic material. His hair loss can be one of side effects of this drug.
