Recently I was on holiday in Mexico and met some local people there. We got together and become good friends. When time for go arrived I got one bottle of something they called nectar. Few days after my arrival at home I finally decided to look at the bottle I got: it was agave syrup! I was totally mixed up! What is agave syrup? And what is agave sirup for?
Agave syrup is a product made of some plant called Agave tequilana. You probably tried tequila already. The tequila is also made from the same plant. This syrup you got you can use as sweetener. Usually it is used for preparing raw food. But, if you dont eat raw food you can also use it for ordinary recipes. Only thing you need to know about making cookies with agave syrup is that it is sweeter than ordinary sugar.
