What is an excessive amount of dimenhydrinate?

My son is taking dimenhydratine for his motion sickness. He has found a job that is connected to constant traveling. I told him that it was foolish but he didnt want to listen. He is taking this medication when he travels. But I see that lately he is acting strangely. He is shaking some times and he is very nervous. I am suspecting on overdose. What is an excessive amount of dimenhydrinate?

Tremors and nervousness are one of the signs of dimenhydratine overdose. You are right to suspect and you should act as quick as you can. This medicine should be injected every 4 to 6 hours as needed but it daily dose should not be more then 400 mg. Overdose can be fatal if not treated on time and the procedure in the emergency room is little inconvenient but not painful.
