What is better for diarrhea - Amodium AD or Kaopectate?

How can person who is diagnosed with Irritably Bowel Syndrome decide which medication for diarrhea should use? What is better for diarrhea - Imodium AD or Kaopectate? I have both medications and do not know which one I should choose. Can you help me make my decision? Have you tried any of this?

I tied both, Imodium AD and Kaopectate. Imodium AD worked better for me. My wife had better experience with Kaopectate. I think that you must try both first and you can see the results. Maybe these medications do not work the same for different persons. Important information is that you dont need prescription for Imodium AD.
