What is diastolic heart failure?

Please, can somebody explain to me What is diastolic heart failure? Yesterday my uncle went to doctor and he said that my uncle has diastolic heart failure. I asked my friend who study medicine but I didn’t understand her at all. Do I need to worry? Is it something dangerous? Thanks!

It’s not so dangerous but it’s very important to treat it well. Heart failure does not mean that your heart has stopped working. It means that the heart's pumping power is weaker than normal. Diastolic heart failure occurs when the heart contracts normally, but the ventricle doesn't relax properly so less blood can enter the heart.
