| My mother always uses camphor when she has some skin problems, and if it is nothing serious, camphor really helps, But for some other problems, she just uses it as a help, as a mild analgesic. So, I would like to know how come it is so effective and helpful, what is the camphor chemical composition? |

Camphor has always been known as a material that might help with mild skin irritations (because of its analgesic effects). It is produced by evergreen trees, mostly those in Asia. It can relieve you from mild pain and itching, still it cannot deal with the actual problem, only help with symptoms. As for the formula, here it is - 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo [2.2.1]heptan-2-one, or C10H16O.
