What is the cause of wegener's granulomatosis?

Yesterday my aunt called me and told me that my cousin maybe has wegener's granulomatosis. I was very surprised. I heard about this illness but I’ve never known anybody who had it. I know that it is very dangerous illness and I’m worried a lot. Can somebody tell me, please, what is the cause of wegener's granulomatosis?

As I know, nobody knows what the reason is why somebody can get Wegener's granulomatosis. This illness acts like an infection, but no one has found an infectious agent that causes the disease. It may involve an overactive immune system response to an allergic reaction. No one knows for sure.
