Hello, guys. My mother went to the doctor and he suspects on wegener’s granulomatosis. I have never heard about this disease before, so I would like to know something more. What is the main feature of this disease? Thanks to all who reply to my post. It will mean a lot to me.

Hello. Wegener’s granulomatosis is a rare disease. The main feature is inflammation of blood vessels and that is called vasculitis. It limits the blood flow to certain organs. Besides inflamed blood vessels, there is a tissue produced called granuloma. Granuloma is able to destroy normal tissue. Many organs can be affected, however some organs are more common affected than others. Those are kidneys, lungs and upper respiratory tract. I hope your mother will be all right. Bye!
