Hi! I’m in second months of pregnancy. I feel great and I would like to do some exercises. I heard that it’s very good for and for my baby also. Probably I should inform well how I can exercise. So, What is the safest way to exercise during pregnancy? Thanks!
First I need to say that before starting on any exercise program, you should consult with your doctor and make sure that the exercise programs are right for you. It’s important to keep your heart rate under 140 beats per minute. Avoid overheating and lying on your back for extended periods of time.
Its better you first ask your Doctor about what exercises you can do and for how long. Walking seems to be safe. And yoga is also good but in any case ask your Doctor first.
I also wanted to exercise in my pregnancy but my doc wouldn't allow it. She didn't say reason why, she just said you CAN'T although everything was PERFECT with my pregnancy and although every source and every literature said exercising in pregnancy was OK and RECOMMENDED.
My friend, who is PILATES instructor, held her classes as far as the 7th or even 8th month of pregnancy and everything turned out to be OK.
Anyway, my suggestion too would be to talk about it with your doc.
