What kind of laxatives are Senna and Sennosides?

It looks like constipation is something I have to deal from time to time. I work in the office, therefore I do not move a lot, and I really do not have much time for some exercises. I guess this, combined with not very healthy food caused my stomach problems. I was told that Senna and Sennosides might be helpful, what kind of laxatives they are?

Those that will help you, but only if you take them as prescribed or as it says on the info sheet. These types of meds are subduing the stomach acid levels and more importantly connecting with water in the intestines which makes them bigger and causing intestines to move more actively, thus creating laxative effect.
