What kind of methods of treatment exist for people who suffer of OCD?

Hi! I have been told that there may be no cure for obsessive-compulsive disorder but I still believe that it may not be completely true. Can someone tell me what kind of methods of treatment are used to help people with OCD so that it does not rule their everyday life?

Everyone wishes to make the best of their condition so that they can live as normally as possible. For OCD there are two methods: one is cognitive behaviour therapy and the other medications and they are usually combined. Therapy involves retraining thought patterns and routines and is pretty helpful while the other involves antidepressants that increase the level of seratonine.
