Hello, I am 14 years old. I have wound on my leg from camping. My mom treated this with some solution but it got inflamed. I don’t know what it means I only know that is painful. I asked my mom what means inflammation and she didn’t know the answer.
There are different meanings of the word inflammation. But in your case definition will be: a response of body tissues to injury or irritation; characterized by pain and swelling and redness. Inflammation can be acute or chronic.
Other meanings of the word inflammation are: the act of setting on fire or catching fire, arousal to violent emotion, the state of being emotionally aroused and worked up.
