What's Profound unilateral hearing loss?

Hello! I have heard for medical term Profound unilateral hearing loss. It is not quite understandable for me, what Profound unilateral hearing loss actually is. So, I am wondering now if you know something more about this disease (I hope that I am right about this. It is disease, right?). Thank you in advance!

Hello! Well, Profound unilateral hearing loss is not actually disease. Profound unilateral hearing loss is hearing disorder. This means that person who is suffering from Profound unilateral hearing loss can hear only monaural. To be precisely, person only can hear on one ear and other ear is not functional. I hope I explained well.
