I think that my dad has shingles or some other skin viral infection. Of course, he needs to go to doctor. I know something about shingles because I watched some TV program about it few months ago. But I want to know something more about viral infections. What skin conditions is caused by viruses?
Beside shingles, others skin viral infection is Herpes simplex viruses that cause outbreaks on the skin and mucous membranes. After the initial infection, the virus travels to a nerve cell and becomes dormant. Primary infection is caused by direct contact with an infected individual. I think that Pityriasis rosea is also a viral infection.
