Have you been diagnosed with rosacea or you are suspecting you have developed it? The most important thing to do is see a dermatologist and discuss all the options with him/her.
Rosacea symptoms may actually be something else, only resemble rosacea and this is why you need evaluation.
The goal of rosacea treatment is to control the symptoms, as there is no cure. The treatment is necessary, so that the problem wouldn’t progress into something worse and cause permanent damage.
You will probably need to make some life style changes in order to prevent some of the symptoms from occurring like the blushing for example. A dermatologist usually prescribes a combo of oral antibiotics to get you under control and antibiotic gel to maintain the control.
Antibiotic are not advised to be taken for too long but you will probably need to use gel continuously to keep the symptoms away. The benefits of the treatment can’t be seen right away, so you need to be patient.
This is the initial treatment.
Then, there are treatment aimed at controlling special symptoms like blushing and flushing, or red lines that have formed because the treatment of rosacea hasn’t been conducted in time.
Let me know if you’re interested in these specific treatments. |
