Hi, I would like to ask you about my father's health problems. He has been suffering from diabetes type 1 for 6 months now and his condition worsened a lot lately. He has been on a regular diet, but it looks like it did not help much. Can you tell me what type of diet is recommended for diabetes type 1? We need to act fast!

Well, I think that the first thing you should do is take him to a doctor. I mean, his problem might occurred because of something else, perhaps he needs a change of therapy or he simply stopped responding well to the treatment. As for the diet, he should find nutritionist who makes diets especially for people that suffer from diabetes, that should be helpful.
