I am 28 and for the passed 2 yrs. I have had brown blood when my perod comes (not red at all not even in the beginning.) It starts off brown and stays that way the entire time. I know that brown blood is supposed to be old blood but can't understand why it would go on this long. It has been 2 and a half yrs. now. I just moved to a new state 2 yrs. ago, so I had to find a new gyn, I told her about the problem but she didn't really seem to concerned. Some of my other symptoms witch may or may not be related include: Lower back pain, diarrea, constipation, slightly swollen abdominal and leg pain. I have had an ultra sound and pap test that came back normal. I used to have cervical cancer but after 3 surgeries I have had negative paps for 3 1/2 yrs. Anyone have any idea what this brown blood means, If anything???
