You shouldn't be putting any cream on your vagina, you should see a doctor to have this peeling checked. It could be yeast infection but it could also be contact dermatitis i.e a skin reaction to some kind of an irritant like harsh detergents, vaginal deodorants or creams.

That sounds like a yeast infection. To be sure you should go see a gynecologist. But a simple solution would be to try some over the counter yeast cream such as Monistat, and if this relieves your symptoms, then you will know for sure that it's yeast.
