I have some questions about birth control pills. What is the right way to use it and When Does It Become Effective? Beside weight gain, what are the other side effects of the pill? What are the benefits of taking the pill? As you can see, I have a lot of questions, so I would like to know some answers. Thanks

Most birth control pills contain two hormones, estrogen and progesterone. These two hormones are synthetic versions of naturally occurring female hormones and they work primarily by preventing ovulation. Pills can be monophasic or triphasic, monophasic means that the hormone pills all contain the same dosage and triphasic pills contain slightly different amounts of hormone throughout the active pills. Both of these pills are equally effective and popular. Birth control pills, like all medicines, have side effects that you need to be aware of. Birth control pills have some serious and some minor side effects. It is important to take the pill every day ate the same time. You can take it, for example, when you get up in the morning or when you go to bed. The pill needs about seven days to become effective at preventing pregnancy. During these 7 days, you will need to use a second method of contraception and we recommend using condoms. Also, it is important to say that the pill will not protect you from STD's, so we recommend using condoms consistently with the pill to protect against sexually transmitted infections.
