When is ear surgery necessary?

Hello there. I have problems with my ear and I don’t know what to do. There are medicament treatments, but doctor suggest me to go on surgery. I want to ask, before i make a decision, which are the cases when ear surgery is necessary and can it help me to hear well?

Ear surgery is usually performed to correct specific causes of hearing loss. It is suggested cause it can help individuals hear well. Surgery can help remove chronically inflamed disease or cancer. Doctors may suggest surgery procedures in some cases such as cochlear implants (implantation of a device to stimulate nerve ends within the inner portion of the ear to enable hearing), stapedectomy (removal of all or part of a bone in the middle ear called the stapes), or tympanoplasty (reconstruction of the ear drum).
