I have varicose veins. I think that it’s nothing serious. My doctor told me that I need to loose weight, to exercise regularly and to try to avoid long periods of standing or sitting. I do all I can but still I’m worried. I’m wondering when is varicose veins surgery performed?
As I know, self-help measures are the most common treatment for varicose veins. They can prevent your veins from getting worse. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s not enough. If you don't respond to self-help or if your condition is getting more severe, your doctor will probably advise you to have laser surgery. That was happened to me.
