I would like to know if there is anything more we can do for our mother. She is 67 years old and has been diagnosed with the breast cancer. Unfortunately, it is not in its first stage and the doctors cannot tell us the accurate prognosis. I have heard a lot about pharmacogenomics and their potential. When will those meds be in use?

Hmm, even though there is even one medication already on the market, I doubt that this method will be applied anytime soon. So, as far as I know, some genetic test has to be done first in order for the specialists to know which medication to give. As for that first drug, called Herceptin, I think you can try with that, it is used for a developed breast cancer.
