When should a first laxative be taken after delivery?

Hello, I am 31 years old and I have just delivered a beautiful baby girl and there isn’t happiest person than me! Still, I am having some problems with constipation and before the pregnancy I used to take laxatives each time I had similar problem. When should a first laxative be taken after the delivery?

I think that laxatives might be used even during pregnancy, if necessary. I am certain that you can use them just couple of days after the delivery. Well, I know that my sister used those in that period and she did not have any problems. I assume that you won’t too, but if you are still afraid, consult your doctor.
