Where can A humerus fracture appear?

Hi, guys. My friend broke his upper arm yesterday. He was diagnosed a humerus fracture. I would like to ask where can A humerus fracture appear. What are the most common locations? I would really appreciate all the help I can get from you. Thank you for all your efforts in replying.

Hello. In general, depending on location, all humerus fractures are divided into three groups. Those are proximal humerus fractures, mid-shaft humerus fractures and distal humerus fractures. Proximal fractures occur near shoulder joint. They can affect tendons that are important for shoulder movements. Mid-shaft fractures occur away from both shoulder and elbow joints. Most of them will heal without a surgery. These fractures are usually joined with damage of radial nerve. Distal injuries occur near the elbow. They are not so common for adults.
