I have to say that I am afraid for my health, even though I am only 34 years old. I am saying this because both my mother and grandfather died from cancer. I would like to know which things from our close surroundings are considered carcinogenic. This might help me prevent some future problems.

Well, preventing is something we should all do, no matter if something like cancer runs in a family. There are cigarettes, environmental pollution (which includes car gases), plastic polymers in some of the bags, which might even make the food dangerous! I don’t think you can just simply avoid all those things. Perhaps you can try to live as healthier as possible. That might help…
