Hi. Some blotchy red areas with white bumps suddenly appeared on my baby`s scalp. They look like an insect bites, so I`ve decided to wait and see what will happen. Still nothing. Are those white bumps dangerous? What to do?
Hi. White bumps on a child`s scalp, and blotchy red areas, could mean your baby has erthema toxicum. My baby had those bumps too, and a doctor told me erthema toxicum is the most common skin condition that affects newborns. No treatment is necessary. The white spots will go on their own within a week or two. Just keep your baby clean as you used to.
