Can you tell me what s exactly wrong with my boyfriend? The way he is, he is bound to end up in prison and I don’t want that to happen, although I am not sure for him. He once mentioned that he has antisocial personality disorder and that for a while he had been attending some therapies, but quit. Can you tell me why that condition occurs?

There is no specific cause, we could say that it is a combination that includes many factors, both genetic, biological, environmental etc. But the main problem is how to treat it. There is no medication for this illness, only therapies help and it looks like he gave up on that idea. Perhaps you should talk to him and try to explain him the benefits of the treatment. At least he won’t be in the trouble with the law.
