I have heart problems and I am 65 years old. Beside increased blood pressure, heart rate is irregular. Last time I went to see a doctor, after ECG I have been prescribed with propanolol, even though I already have some meds. I was also given disopyramide so I need to know why does propanolol, taken with disopyramide is better than taken alone?

Propanolol is a specific medicament. If not taken properly, it can damage the patients health easily. Basic rule for taking propanolol is that it has to be gradually included in therapy and finish the treatment in the same way. Disopyramide is there to prevent arrhythmia. Rest assured that this mixture will be efficient for your heart issues.
