Why patients who suffer from leukemia always feel tired?

Hello, I have a sister, she is 15 years old and after several health issues like loss of appetite and high temperature followed with weakness and tiredness, doctors concluded she has leukemia. She says that the biggest problem is weakness so I would like to know why patients who suffer from leukemia always feel tired?

Leukemia is a condition followed with malign growth of huge number of different blood cells (especially WBC). Basically, these new malign cells affect the entire system, starting with blood and lymphatic nodes. After that, the entire system is affected and that is something immune system simply cannot deal with. And that is why the patient always feels weak and tired.
