My friend's father has been diagnosed with PACNS; I have heard it is a rare condition. She is so concerned about his health, she cries all the time. Her father uses oral Cytoxan, which should be very helpful, but now they discuss the possibility of pulse IV therapy. Why would that be used instead of oral Cytoxan?

I have to admit that PACNS is a very rare condition, one that was very dangerous before, but treatable now with Cytoxan, which proved to be very effective in dealing with this illness. I am not so sure which better, oral is or IV dosage. IV is given once in couple of weeks, while Cytoxan is taken much more often. I think that many doctors think of IV dosage less threatening if we speak of side effects occurring.
