Hello, folks. My kid suffers from aphasia. I was thinking of sending him to the treatment program, but this is very expensive. I wonder whether this treatment will be covered by insurance. What do you know about this? I would really use some help from you. Thanks for all your help.

Hello. As far as I know, aphasia treatment is not covered by insurance. Aphasia with kids is treated as congenital disorder. Some congenital disorders are not covered by insurance. On the other hand, aphasia with adults, that previously had ability to talk, is covered. I would recommend you to check all this with a legal department of the facility where you would like to send your kid for a treatment. They will fill you in with details. I hope everything will be all right. Good luck! Bye!
