Hi, I am 37 years old and I am having problems with constipation. It looks like I cannot defecate more than two times a week and even though some consider it normal, for me it is not. Anyway, I have been thinking of using laxatives to prevent constipation. Will bowel movements go back to normal after regular laxative use?
I think that you should know the basic rule about defecation. From three times in a day to once in three days – that is considered normal and I think that you belong to that range. Still, you can use laxatives but not for a long period and movements should be as they were when the treatment is done. Still, I would at least talk to the doctor before taking any medication.
