Will my 69 year old father survive a second heart attack?

My father had a heart attack last week. He is ok now but he is still in hospital. He is 69 years old and this is his first heart attack. I know that he easily can have another heart attack. And I’m worried a lot. Will my 69 year old father survive a second heart attack?

The prognosis varies depending on the level of permanent damage to the heart muscle and other factors. I think that nobody can give you right answer on your question. Your father’s cardiologist maybe has the best prognosis for your father. Your father needs to change his life style and take more care about his general condition.
