I had an abortion 2 years ago. I’m not sorry that did it, because it was the best decision that I could get at that moment. Will there be problems getting pregnant after abortion? Do I have to tell to my new gyn that had it? I’m 31.

Safe, legal and uncomplicated abortion does not affect fertility at all. Abortion does not have the influence on future pregnancies. It may take 2-4 weeks for your hormones to get stabilized after the abortion, you probably experienced it. It is the most important that abortion was done professionally and in aseptic conditions. You should check up your general health and have routine gynaecological exams before decide to get pregnant.

If you truly feel uncomfortable about telling a new OBGYN, then you do not HAVE to, but most likely they have heard of it before.

I ONLY see pro choice doctors, so I do not have to worry as much about the information that I tell.
