WPW syndome can be treated effectively with catheter ablation, in which case the prognosis is very good, some cases are treated conservatively to see if the conduction disappears as the pt gets older. The main risk with WPW syndrome is when it is undiagnosed, as management techniques are usually unknown to the pt. hope this helps
