For the last 10 days, I have needed to urinate much more regularly, but it always seems to be at times when I feel more stressed.
I never have to wake up or get up during the night needing to urinate. I always sleep from 10pm until 6am without waking.
But in the morning I pee when I wake up at 6am (which is normal), then I pee again before leaving the house at 6:45am, then during my commute to work on the train, I need to pee once at the start of the journey (which lasts 40 minutes) and quite soon again once the journey has finished. It's quite embarassing, as people I know have started to notice how often I'm going to the toilet.
I went to a local walk-in health centre a few days ago (as my GP is unable to see me for 3 weeks!) and they took a urine sample. They told me my urine was absolutely fine and that the frequency with which I need to urinate at the moment is probably due to stress.
I'm going through a lot of stress in my life and I've always been am emotionally sensitive person, but I've never had any problems with such frequent peeing, apart from when I was at infant school! Between the ages of 10 and 12 I had a couple of operations on my penis and testicles, but I've never had any physical problems with them and everything seems fine, including urinating and intercourse.
But this recent problem with peeing all the time has gotten me worried, as I can't concentrate or attend a meeting or commute in peace.
I'm worried I might have Prostatitis or some other infection or disease, but I'm monogamous so am ruling out an STD.
I experience absolutely no pain when I urinate, but it always feels like there is some urine kind of left in my penis after I've been to the toilet. After peeing, I FEEL like I need to pee again almost immediately. It feels like my bladder hasn't emptied and there's urine in my penis, which will come out with one squeeze or knock. So I guess it feels a little tender, but there's no excrutiating pain or anything like that.
The thing which is getting me the most worried is that the area between my anus and my scrotum keeps switching. It feels like the muscle in that area is having regular spasms. Again, there's no pain but it doesn't feel right. It kind of feels like I'm very tense all around that area, including my bowels, bladder, scrotum, penis, urethra, sphincter muscle and any other body part in that area. Just before pee comes out, the muscle by my scrotum switches, and the same happens after I've finished peeing. And when I'm sitting at my desk at work, I can feel it switching sometimes. Not all the time, but enough to notice. And I sometimes get a glowing feeling in my scrotum. Not an itch or a tingle, but a glowing feeling like a "wave" gently passing through my scrotum.
Can a stopping in masturation possibly trigger weird sensations (spasms or cramps) in the prostate?
When I strain and tense myself, like when I'm sitting on the toilet doing a number 2, I can feel the muscle between my scrotum and anus twitching. It feels like my bottom and my scrotum are joined together now or something.
I don't know whether to panic and rush to the doctor for an emergency appointment (and hopefully see a urologist, even though I'd have to wait 3 months for an appointment), or just relax and hope it's stress-induced and it will go away soon.
Any thoughts?
