I have been experiencing some weird breathing difficulties that I did not have before. It seems that I just cannot take enough air in the lungs, so I am sometimes forced to breathe shallow and faster than usual. I am going to a doctor tomorrow and I am worried about spirometry test results, will those be ok? Should I be concerned at all?

Spirometry test is unfortunately, just on of several tests you could be doing. There are many reasons for your problem, asthma being one of the major ones. Still, tests will determine what the actual cause of your problematic condition is. I guess there is no point of worrying before you get the results, and even if it is asthma, with medications and therapy it can be kept under the control easily. I have a friend that suffers from it, and except for occasional asthma attacks, he lives a normal life.

Spirometry or Pulmonary Function Test is a test done to measure our lungs capacity the result of it is based on how you perform the procedure the more proper and better you do the instructions the better results don't be worried coz in this test you will determine wether you have asthma or any other problems but difficulty in breathing is not just a sign of pulmonary problem it could be in heart or any other medical problems.Spirometry is not a scary test so don't be worried just give your best to perform the test very well.
